1About these terms

sevadhamfoundation.org (the "website") is owned and run by Seva Dham Foundation, a non-profit company registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U88900BR2026NPL083400, PAN ABTCS1045E). By using the website you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "the Foundation" mean Seva Dham Foundation; "you" means anyone who visits or uses the website.

2Using the website

You may use the website for personal, educational and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• break any law, or use the website to defame, harass, threaten or mislead anyone;
• post or send content that is obscene, hateful, communal, or that hurts religious sentiments;
• try to hack, overload, scrape at scale, or interfere with the website or its security;
• pretend to be the Foundation, its founder, staff or volunteers, or collect money in our name without written authority;
• use our name, logo or certificates to suggest an endorsement we have not given.

Beware of fraud: the Foundation never asks for donations to personal bank accounts or personal UPI IDs. Genuine donations go only to the Foundation's own account through this website or an official receipt. If someone asks you otherwise, tell us at info@sevadhamfoundation.org.

3Our content and copyright

Text, design, photographs, videos, logos and graphics on this website belong to Seva Dham Foundation or are used with permission, and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

• You may read our pages and share their links freely on WhatsApp, social media, email or in class.
• You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, sell or adapt any text, image, video or design from this website — in whole or in part — without our prior written permission. Write to info@sevadhamfoundation.org for permission; we usually say yes for educational and religious use.
• Technical measures on the website that prevent copying must not be bypassed.
• Images from Wikimedia Commons and other open sources stay under their own licences, credited on the page.
• Scriptural texts, mantras and verses are humanity's shared heritage; our translations, explanations and arrangement are our own work.

4Pustakālayaḥ (library) downloads

Books in our library are offered for study and personal reading. Most are in the public domain or were published for free distribution. Each book keeps its original copyright and licence, which the publisher or author owns. If you are a rights-holder and believe a book should not be listed, write to us and we will review and remove it within 7 days.

5Information on the website

We try hard to keep information accurate and up to date. Still:

• Gyan content on Ayurveda, Yoga and traditional knowledge is for learning, not medical advice. Always consult a qualified doctor before changing any treatment.
• Government scheme and helpline details are collected from official sources for your convenience; please confirm eligibility and current details on the official portal.
• Event dates, venues and programme details can change; the latest update on the event page applies.
• Impact figures are published from our records and updated as they are verified.

6What you send us

When you send a message, story, photograph, article or idea (for example through Contribute Knowledge), you confirm it is your own work and does not break anyone's rights, and you allow the Foundation to use, edit, translate and publish it, free of charge, to further its charitable work, crediting you where practical. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

7Donations

Donations are voluntary and are used only for the Foundation's charitable objects, as required by its Section 8 licence — no part is paid as profit or dividend to its members. Where you choose a specific cause, we use your gift for that cause; if that cause is fully funded or cannot proceed, we use it where the need is greatest. Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy; tax questions are answered in the Donation FAQ.

We do not accept foreign contributions, as the Foundation is not registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010.

8Links to other websites

We link to government portals, helplines, WhatsApp, YouTube and payment providers for your convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9Limits of our responsibility

The website is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, the Foundation, its directors, staff and volunteers are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss from using the website, from interruptions or errors, or from relying on its information. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

10Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will always first try to resolve a concern through our Grievance Officer. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Patna, Bihar, where our registered office is.

11Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
