What this mission is about

A skill is the most lasting gift we can give.

Skill Development helps young people, women and persons with disabilities learn job-ready skills, earn with dignity and stand on their own feet — and makes sure they know the rights and government help that are already theirs.

Charity feeds a family for a day; a skill feeds it for a lifetime. We run practical training in trades, computers and customer service, connect trainees to apprenticeships and jobs, and support those who want to start their own small enterprise.

Inclusion is built in from the start: we help persons with disabilities get assistive devices and accessible training, and our help desks guide people to free legal aid, Tele-Law and the schemes they are entitled to.

The reality we face

The skills gap we want to close

  • ~4%Indians aged 15–59 with formal vocational training (PLFS)
  • 53 lakh+Candidates trained under PMKVY in the five years to December 2025
  • 2.68 crIndians living with a disability (Census 2011)
  • 21Disabilities recognised by the RPwD Act, 2016
