About the event

Maha Shivaratri is the great night of Shiva. Through the four prahars of the night, Vedic pandits perform Rudrabhishek with milk, water, honey and bilva leaves while devotees keep jagran with chanting and bhajans.

At midnight everyone joins a collective Om Namah Shivaya jap; the night ends with aarti at dawn.
